Lights for Hospice
Since 1979, Palmetto Health Hospice has provided medical, emotional, social and spiritual support for Hospice patients and their families. From simple companionship to relief for exhausted family members, the mission of hospice remains the same — to help relieve pain, fear and loneliness and to support the family before and after the patient’s death.
Thanks to your generosity, Palmetto Health Hospice also purchases medications and provides emergency rent or utility assistance when necessary. Hospice has financially assisted more than 500 Hospice patients and their families and funded programs like Brett’s Rainbow, an annual bereavement camp for children of ages 6 to 16 and their caregivers who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Since 1985, Lights for Hospice has provided a way to for people to support Palmetto Health Hospice while honoring or remembering a friend or loved one during the holiday season. Your gift of $30 will purchase a symbolic light and a memory card. For gifts of $125 or more, you will also receive a special keepsake holiday ornament.
Proceeds from Lights for Hospice will directly benefit Palmetto Health Hospice patients and their families. The campaign will begin prior to Thanksgiving and will run through the end of December.
This year, symbolic lights will be displayed in the following Palmetto Health locations:
